Avi Barak is a drummer, producer and sound engineer, who also teaches drums in his studio in Tel Aviv.


 Avi studied at the Drummers Collective in New York, after which he enrolled in “Rimon” – Israel’s leading music school. During his time here he played in various Jazz ensembles and received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston. At Berklee, Avi refined his drum skills, studied composing, arrangement, production and conducting and got acquainted with the world of film scoring. After completing his BM at Berklee, he stayed on in the US, touring the country with several artists from various musical styles.


Today, Avi lives in Tel Aviv, Israel, plays and records with local rock, pop, R&B and Jazz artists and is associate manager of the “My-Sound” band. He has a fully-equipped and spacious recording studio, in which he also composes music for films and TV.
